Congrats to our advisor, Chris Kowalczyk, for his success at The Europas!
Movie discovery service Filmaster was one of the few startups featured in The Europas competition in “social networking platform” category. We did not win — huge congrats to PeerIndex here! — but we achieved another small success. Chris Kowalczyk, our business advisor, won the “Highly Commended” award as “Best VC Partner of the Year”. HackFwd invests $250k USD in Filmaster
The Filmaster team spent the last weekend on Mallorca. No, we did not get much sun-burn, as we were not on vacation. We went there to finalize the deal that was just announced by our investor, German company HackFwd, which put 191.000 EUR (about 250.000 USD) into the service, with a valuation of 636.000 EUR (around 1 mln USD).

Filmaster for iPhone launched at SXSW
We officially launched Filmaster iPhone app during the South by Southwest weekend n Austin, Texas. Borys Musielak presented it on stage in the AppCircus contest for world’s best new mobile apps. The app is now available for download from Apple’s AppStore. (more…)
