We had quite a busy weekend! Filmaster.com launched during the Democamp East/West 2009 conference in Poznan and we won the second prize during the start-up competition beating 13 other selected startups from Poland and Eastern Europe.

Democamp is an international event focused on start-ups, entrepreneurship, bootstrapping and funding strategies and organized by Polak 2.0 foundation based in Poznan. This was the second time the event took place. Last one was in 2008.

Our presentation was received in a very enthusiastic way by the audience and the jury. You can watch it in PDF format here:

The event was very successful. We received a lot of questions from journalists, bloggers, venture capital investors and Democamp observers. A lot of good advice as well. We also moderated a quite interesting discussion about open services like Filmaster, identi.ca or libre.fm and their role in the Internet. If we catch someone who recored it, we’ll let you know for sure!
